Moving to a new flat. What do I need

by stella on April 6, 2014

thinking-web-picThis is simple but needs some thinking! So, Compile a list.

Thins that you should include and some you may already have, so depending from whether your roommate is supplying some of the stuff. Of course everything may not be applicable to you so disregard anything you feel you may not need. It’s important to make a list of every single thing (of importance) that each roommate is bringing to the apartment (flat) just in case there is a dispute when it’s time to go your separate ways.
KITCHEN: Plates, Bowls, Drinking Glasses, Coffee cups, forks, spoons, knives, Pots and Pans, Toaster, Can opener, baking dishes, cooking utensils, cheese grater, trash can, coffee maker, tea pot, cutting board, wine bottle opener.
LIVING ROOM/DINING ROOM: couch, floor lamps, coffee table, side table, bookshelf, TV stand, TV, Table and Chairs.
BEDROOM: Bed, nightstand, desk, desk chair, shoe rack, long mirror, table lamp
BATHROOM: trash can, bath towels, hand towels, shower curtain and liner, toilet bowl brush.
LAUNDRY/CLEANING: washer, dryer, vaccuum, mop, broom, dust pan
GROCERIES
this list could have a million items but we wanted to make sure we didn’t forget the following:
batteries, extra lighbulbs, all purpose cleaner, dish soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, trash bags, sponges

I hope this helps you. It’s not a complete list but it should makes thinks easier.

Good luck! It’s loads of fun despite the stress of getting everything together.
